Proper Use of Recorded Video and Email-Based Sessions

The use of video, email, and other coaching and tutoring support services are intended for your personal use only. Do not share, upload, or disseminate in any way through public or private means including but not limited to email, text, social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), YouTube, Vimeo, or other mediums.

In kind, we will not share any videos, email, or other communication files directly involving the client without prior consent. Videos are not searchable and will be listed privately and securely for your use only.

Live Video Session Attendance & Preparation

All sessions will begin and end at their scheduled time.

It is expected that the student will be prepared for each session so that they can benefit fully from their time with their coach.

Please log into your session a few minutes before it is scheduled to start. This will allow you time to troubleshoot any technical difficulties your computer may have before the session begins.

If the student is experiencing technical difficulties that are preventing them from logging in to the online session on time, it is the student’s (and parent’s, if applicable) responsibility to contact the coach to let them know.

Online students are expected to have the correct equipment for each session.

This equipment includes:

  • Laptop or desktop computer
  • Headphones
  • Working microphone and webcam
  • High-speed internet
  • Chrome web browser (preferred)

Running Late:
Call or text immediately if a student is running late. No additional time will be given. If the student is more than 50 percent late for on-demand sessions, that session will be canceled and deducted from the package of minutes for the time waited. For recurring sessions, the session will be rescheduled. 

Preparedness:
Sessions will be more productive if the student comes prepared with any questions they had during class or in a homework assignment. It also helps if the student brings any books or homework assignments needed. If a student habitually comes unprepared, this will be addressed with the student and, if applicable, the parents. If the problem persists, the coach reserves the right to terminate future sessions. All remaining time that was paid in advance will be refunded.

Disruptive Behavior:
Sometimes behavior can get in the way of your student and coach getting work done during a session. If behavior prevents the coach from doing the job you are paying them to do, the coach reserves the right to terminate future sessions. All remaining time left in the pre-purchased package will be refunded.

Live Session Rescheduling (Recurring & On-Demand)

Please notify the coach at least 24 hours before the student will not be attending due to an illness, vacation, or extracurricular activity. If 24 hours notice is not given, a re-scheduled session will not be offered.

We recognize that some illnesses such as the stomach flu or a high fever can cause sudden absences. If this occurs, the 24-hour notification may be waived at the discretion of the coach.

Cancellations are not offered. With appropriate notification, sessions will be rescheduled.

If the coach is ill, they will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule the session.

If continued absences occur, it will be determined if continued sessions are a good fit for the student.

Live Session Supervision

A parent, guardian, or other trusted adult must be present at the location where the student’s session is taking place for the duration of the session.

Live Session Recording

The student’s session will be recorded, so they can review what was discussed at a later time. All recordings will be kept confidential; only the coach and the student (and parent if applicable) will have access to the recordings.

Note: If you prefer for the student not to be recorded, please express this concern with the coach.

Payment

All coaching and tutoring services are pre-paid through packages of minutes for on-demand sessions and recurring payments for ongoing sessions. Clients will receive an invoice that includes a direct link to pay via PayPal* or Stripe. 

*You do not need to have a PayPal account for this method; all you need is a major credit or debit card.
